Use a shooting-script PDF with scene numbers printed on the sluglines. SidesHQ pulls the exact scene pages you need in the order you type them, then supports both manual drag-box X-out and auto X.

1. Upload Shooting PDF

The best results come from a real text PDF with scene numbers printed on the left and right margins of each slugline.

2. Choose Scenes

Enter the scene numbers you want, separated by commas. Example: 3, 20, 54. The order you type them is the order they will appear.

Run Scene Pull
Pull the scenes you need, then fine-tune the result with Manual X-Out or Auto X.

3. Manual Pages

Add or remove pages without rebuilding the scene pull.

What the PDF needs

SidesHQ looks for scene numbers printed on both sides of the slugline. That is how it finds the exact scene pages to pull.

Use a shooting-script PDF where the scene number appears in the left and right margins of each slugline.
If those margin numbers are missing, SidesHQ may not be able to identify the right scene starts and stops.
Once the PDF is loaded, type the scenes in the order you want them to appear, then use Manual X-Out (drag box) or Auto X to prep the final sides.
